There are four elements which influence the excellence of Garbet’s wines: the Mediterranean, which it looks out over, the warmth of its sun, a slaty soil which gives it character, and the unceasing Tramontane North wind. They make up what we call the “Aires de Garbet” (“Airs of Garbet”).
Designation of origin:Empordà
Ageing:15 months in bordeaux French oak barrels Tronçais second wine, rest in bottle.
Tasting note:Ruby color with a high layer and violet trim. It is a wine with a large aromatic range that recalls the farm from which it comes: Mediterranean herbs, red fruits and a balsamic background. The palate is fresh, intense and above all very balanced. It presents a clear varietal personality, with mature tannins, enveloping and with a silky sensation. It has a long aftertaste and has great aging potential.
Finca:Garbet. Twelve hectares on the shore of the Mediterranean, on a mountainous slopy terrain where terrace farming is necessary.
