Empordà is a small area with a variety of soils found in few other locations: slate slopes, sandy plains, fluvial sediment, clay-silt, gravel… This diversity of soils allows us to grow grapes with an enormous range of nuances and to produce complex wines full of character. Like Perelada 3 and 5 Finques.

3 Finques 2017

Designation of origin: Empordà
Varietals: Samsó (30%), Garnatxa (27%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), Merlot (18%), Syrah (5%).
Ageing: 12 months in Bordeaux barrel, 70% American oak and 30% French oak second wine.
Tasting note: Intense cherry red. In the nose there’s a predominance of black and red fruits, nicely blended with a flower touch and some fine ageing notes. In the mouth it is nice, well-balanced, with ripe tannins. It has a medium structure, This is a long and enveloping wine, with lots of personality.

5 Finques 2016

Designation of origin: Empordà
Varietals: Garnatxa (26%), Cabernet Sauvignon (24%), Merlot (21%), Syrah (16%), Samsó (9%), Monastrell (3%), Cabernet Franc (1%).
Ageing: 18 months in Bordeaux barrels, 50% fine American oak and 50% Allier French oak. Then bottled.
Tasting note: Deep cherry red colour. Its aroma reminds of red fruits, spices, with some balsamic notes and a toasted background. In the mouth it is fresh, well-structured and balanced. Its tannins are present but well integrated. This is a wine with a great personality and a long after-taste.
