Finca Malaveïna 2013 has just won the Golden Bacchus at the last edition of the Concurso Internacional de Vinos Bacchus, the biggest wine contest in Spain.

This blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Garnatxa, aged for 18 months in oak barrels, has a deep cherry red colour. Its deep aroma reminds of black fruits and displays some toasted and spicy notes. In the mouth it is round, meaty, well structured. Its acidity is very fresh. Tannins are round and creamy. Excellent balance, great palate and long after-taste. Finca Malaveïna sports the marked personality of the vineyard where it was born, and has a long ageing potential.

Held in Madrid 9-13th March, Bacchus is the only wine contest in Spain recognized by the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine). Its jury is formed by more than hundred journalists, sommeliers, oenologists, Masters of Wine and Masters of Sommelier that evaluate the quality of wines.
